Our University and Careers Counselling (UCC) service is among the most effective in the world – professional in its advice yet highly personalised in its delivery. Our counsellors are experts in global education, with unparalleled understanding of the student journey through secondary school, higher education, and careers.

UCC counsellors draw from shared resources and expertise found across the EiM family of schools, and outlined in the EiM University and Careers Counselling Model, to align the specific needs of the student with the ever-changing demands of universities and employers. With our excellent counsellors on your side, each student's personalised pathway to achievement and success is clearer than ever.

How we empower students to make their own decisions?

We encourage students to take control of their journey by advising and guiding students through decision and application processes.

During the final years of secondary education, the student becomes increasingly responsible for his/her future. As graduation gets closer and the big decisions arise, the student becomes the primary contact for all relevant communications.

We respect when decisions about university or career are taken as a family. We encourage our students to feel comfortable with these choices and take ownership of them.

Our university counsellors and teachers advise and guide students through the complicated application processes required for higher education, internship or a job. Students must expect to engage with counsellors and teachers, follow our "Integrity Agreement" and adhere strictly to the policies.

The application process, however, is the ultimate responsibility of the student. Students should actively check all processes, dates and deadlines related to any application.

What is the unique role of our world-class counsellors?

Our counsellors help students define what success means to them and develop the tools necessary to achieve that success – seeking the most up-to-date understanding of higher education globally and collaborating with teachers and families to provide exceptional service to students and institutions with which we work.

We collaborate with academic and pastoral student support systems to develop student agency and facilitate informed 'Best Fit' decision-making, adding value through life skills training, mentorship and well-being support. 

'Best fit' is a student-oriented process that takes into account every student's unique combination of goals, needs and interests to identify and plan for the next step in their journey.

We support students to continue exploring and developing in those areas they excel while also identifying where and how to improve and frame their performance in areas they find more difficult. We facilitate communication across different aspects of their education to improve academic, extra-curricular, personal-social and post-secondary outcomes.
